Ken
Can I ask what wheels you are running? are they YZF750 front and rear?
Does the Post Classic rules allow you to run wheels from a newer bike?
Cheers

The rules state that the the wheels must be of a type/contruction and size available in period.
The wheels are of a type/contuction and size available in period. My wheels are off a YZF but thats doesnt matter. They could be off any make or model bike as long as they fit the criteria. Just to note tyre size is also restricted to a size available in period so no wider that 120 on front and 180 on rear.
There are quite a few restrictions.....but it seems in other area's as long as you keep to the type/construction/size ideal you 'should' be ok. However you need to check this with the MGP office. I have entered the bike and completed a spec. sheet so if any problems I will post them on here.
Once (if accepted to race) I will put up start number

Engine build stalled piston rings on back order. Frame now complete all welding checked etc, sandblasted and powder coated.

have you altered the shape of your cylinder head ports much? I just tidied all mine up a bit to get rid of a few rough ridges but didn't see much more that could be done without spending forever on it. 20 ports! Is it just a visual check of your frame welds?

Work on base of ports mainly then clean up. Quite a fair bit on where valve seat insert sits into alluminium, most of the frame welds redone by professional Graham, my level of welding doesnt give confidence for MGP.

Good work fella. Were the welds stripped of paint and dye penetration tested or just visually inspected and beefed up where necessary?

Ken
Have you submitted your entry yet? How did you get on with the modifications you've done to your bike, with 17" wheels and the 41mm forks?
