Hi All, I want to recover my seat. Perhaps in Blue to match other parts. Since there doesn't appear to be any stitching or seams in teh cover can I can use a bit of stretchy vinyl from Dunelm cut to approx size and a staple gun?
Cheers

Not sure about vinyl mate. I forget how or why but for years I had a big sheet of leatherette material which as far as I could tell was the exact same stuff that seat covers are made of. I managed to cover the seat on my FZ using it but it's not a full length seat since I modified the bike. I googled it & found a few youtube clips showing a guy who makes & fits covers. A heat gun is handy to help with some of the tighter corners. I don't think you would have too much trouble doing it yourself. It's just a case of putting your folds so they won't show & making sure your staples are strong enough to hold. I think you start from the front middle & work your way back.

Hi Graham - further research suggests '4-way stretch' vinyl fabric (leatherette) should do the trick about a tenners worth from ebay should do it I hope. Will reinforce the front edges too where current cover is poking through. BTW just did 600 ish miles on the old girl up to the Isle of Man where we were treated to 3 days of miserable weather and no racing (sigh). Bike only started on 2 pots one morning (did I say it was wet there) but after 3 hours of drying copil swapping and fu-barring about eventually diagnosed a dodgy plug cap on cylinder 1..
