Thanks to Graham for giving up his Saturday (and for buying breakfast) so that I knew how to strip and rebuild the bastard, no thanks to the cunt (Parsons in Radstock) for doing half a job about a year ago and only do in exhausts and not the inlets, and finaly to AJ Suttons for finding and delivering 11 shims (even though it took two weeks...)
The offer is still open, Graham, for you to try my carbs, airbox and exhaust can on yours. I'll be heading past your place in a couple of weeks.
Oh, and an extra special thanks to Kenny for offering to recondition an engine for me. Hopefully I'll not need it. I'll let you know in a couple of years.

You know I actually found another Micron can in my garage the other night exactly the same as yours mate complete with fixed baffle! Sure my air box is good. Also fairly sure the carbs are causing my problems. Was good to see you again the other Saturday. I would offer my garage space, use of tools & time to anyone on here who might benefit from them/it.

The only problem is that you don't make tea often enough...
I'm including the airbox because of your 'fix' on the trumpets. Trying all my bits is an easy and quick way of identifying the issue. If we put all mine on, and it works fine, we can then swap bits over until we identify the issue.
