Hey guys i rebuilt my master but couldn't get pressure in the lever. So I disassembled it down to this. I want to make sure I did it right so which parts go in first? Is it spring, seal, then piston? And which end of the piston goes in the cylinder, the longer beveled side or the shorter flat side? Sorry for the stupid questions but I just want to ride this thing and I'm annoyed. Thanks in advance Attachments:

In the service manual at page 6-20 you will find the Master Cylinder assembly sequence. You might find it a safer option to compare your bits with the picture to make sure it's correct. Also don't forget getting pressure is a bitch on these things so get yourself a bleeder pump and don't try to do it without. I did and failed, bought a pump and 10 minutes later off I went....

The manuel is a little unclear. The exploded diagram shows the spring then seal then pushrod, but the written description says to install the seal first followed by the spring and pushrod.

I should have checked whether you are talking brake (front or rear) or clutch. My service manual doesn't prescribe and order just whats in the picture. You wouldn't put the seal in first as it wont seal anything.

It's the clutch master, I'm pretty sure the spring should go into the cylinder then the thimble shaped seal and the pushrod in the end. I'm going to buy another rebuild kit and see if I can find one with a new pushrod going into the handle and see how it works
