hi lads restoring my two fzs restoring to ride not to sit in shed with other bikes. whats the best swap for breaks i can do what other bikes will fit the fz 85/86 model

Best bet is to change forks & yokes for something slightly newer. Not many options regards brakes with original forks fitted + they're shit! lol

I used FZR600 forks but any 41mm Yamaha forks should do. Early R6, TRX850, FZR1000 etc.

You'll need the yokes to suit. FZR1000 Genesis yokes bolt straight in without messing about with steering stem swaps.

I've got a complete front end from a 1995 fzr600r fox eye model, New seal on forks, good brakes with pads, lines, master cylinder, lever, yokes, bearings all bolts spacers...... if your interested, and if your anywhere near Wakefield.....

Triumph 955 4-pot calipers will bolt straight on to the FZ fork legs. This mod also works on a YPVS.
