Hi Guys its a long time since I have been on here. I have decided to sell the bike as she does not get used, in short its sitting around getting dusty and picking up the odd mark etc Its mot'd for another 11 months and has done a total of 23miles since it was totally rebuilt as per this thread....such a waste of an exceptional bike, it has a small stutter at around 3500rpm and the carbs would need to be dialled in properly once she is run in. Also it would need a full shake down test but the miles back and forth from the mot she handled perfect and nothing fell off I could dribble on and on.....I have no idea how to price a bike of this nature....and obviously I want as much as possible....make and offer or come and see, I'm near Gatwick surrey 07968 561399
Follow the rebuild thread on this forum, the only difference is it now has a polished swing arm. This bike has had a large amount of money spend on it....I expect to make a massive loss on the sale, my pain will be some one elses gain.
Hi Pete. I'd make you an offer but the shipping to Canada might be a bit much. What i wanted to ask was is that a Kawasaki clutch master cylinder and lever assembly? I have a ZX7 setup on my 86 FZ and it doesn't push enough fluid causing it to stall when putting it into gear when it's cold (works fine once it's warmed up). Not sure if that's because the Kawi unit doesn't displace as much fluid as the original or if mine's not working properly.
vtr: Hi from cape town; new at forum's not at bike building; the insanity is contagious. Recently acquired a "1FU" FZ750 with dropped valves and decided cool to rebuild as a 911conversion sleeper, what we do to ourselves...

grahamfirestorm: Can anyone tell me why my bike doesn't seem to light up after 7000rpm like all the research I did before buying it.She has the standard 4 into 1 exhaust, carbs rebuilt with new jets,seals,floats,2 new diaphragms, all valve clearances checked and adjusted?

grahamfirestorm: She revs round to 10000rpm ok,but there is no urgency with it,my 1987 Kawasaki gpx750 was a lot quicker, and that was supposed to be 10-15 bhp down, ive been told the standard silencer and air filter are to blame but I don't believe that.

Graham : grahamfirestorm. Do you have standard size main jets fitted to your carbs? I would be tempted to go up a size or even two to see if it helps the bike pull stronger at high revs.
