I'm looking for a replacement/more modern clutch master cylinder for my FZ because I have fitted a Thundercat front end including the brake master cylinder so could do with something that matches. I was looking at a YZF750 one for sale on Ebay but it has a small reservoir so would like to know if there is a tried and tested alternative.
Cheers Bill.

FZR1000 on mine. Smaller than FZ. Matches my front brake set up which I think is R1 but don't quote me. It's been a while.

FZR1000EXUP on mine, I haven't even bothered with a fluid reservoir as the clutch is a sealed system (the piston in the clutch release will only ever expand a set distance unlike the brake pistons that expand as the brake pads wear down) Wheaty

I'm running an FJR1300 unit, which is a smaller bore (14mm) but still pushes enough fluid to engage clutch properly. A little easier to pull the lever in too. Chris

This is if i recall correct a pump from an YZF750. Small resorvoir but i think the gearing is the same as the original. The brakes is from an R1 with the blue calipers. Fits bolt on on the 89 and newer. Needs some longer brakelines but that's it.
