project update , managed to spend a bit of time on it over the weekend but mailnly trying to get things to fit.
The chain alignment is out as the rear carrier was machied to line up with a YSF750 engine and the output shaft is longer than the Fz 750 so looking at a offset sprocket to maintain & give chain clearance Made another clock fairing stay to try some yzf clocks as still struggling to fit a oil cooler in the nose fairing It will fit just need to sort the brackes more of a case of measure 10 times and cut once , dont fit and try again LOL.
As its going to be road legal looking at lights , not really for nightime but more driving lights , must pop and see the local MOT tester and confirm what I need as a minimum As far as I rember all I need is a rear brake light and there's no need for a speedo ? Soon find out tomorrow.

Started a new post on the MOT saga
Not much to report this week , had a running battle with the Kitchen sink , "just change the mixer tap " let just say it was fun and ended changing everything LOL
But managed to make some progress , made a bracket & mounted the radiator may not sound much but to me its a breakthough as I though it would never fit , end result quite pleased with the fairing stay oil cooler and digital Tacho & combi clocks ( looks like a sensor speedo for the MOT) Sorry no pictures
Now just go to sort the headlighs looking for some very small projector units, got 3 types off E-bay to try I can mount 2 of the cheap LED chinese sopt light units , the type you remove the Chip to stop them flashing but the beam pattern is not right The other looks too big to fit behind the clocks
Did a bit more fairing fiddling and its in place , just a couple of brackets to finish off and thats done

Looking to finalise the clocks a bit more mocking up , tho not the best pictures, in fact they are crap LOL. Spent a bit of time trying to get some lights to fit , theres not much room behind the clocks and oil cooler , the LED Spot Lights fit a treat but the beam pattern is not right tried masking the len's to get a Dip , but in the end they are spot lights Got another set of lights but they are much bigger and will protrude out of the front fairing and could look a bit odd , A bit more teating tomorrow me thinks

So glad you are going with a factory theme for the colour. They just really suit the bike & the age.

Graham Thanks for the comments & feedback , Colour scheme has been a pain from the start, Main objective it to get it Mot'd and on the road for Christmas I can always get the paint done later before the spring For simplcity It will be straight 2k paint so its durable and easy to maintain with decals direct on paint No lacquer

That was a interesting weekend , managed a few hours on the Fz with mixed results. Last time I tried to start the bike the Race Carbs were leaking which was not helped as the float alloy covers have been modified with a breather hole, so stripped cleaned and static set the butterflys etc. So thought I'll change the covers back to standard ( as you would ) Well fitted them back on and the bugger would not run , spent loads of time adjusting checking and finally afer loads of Easy Start , it run but not well , Got the Carbtune 2 and that would not work as the reading was too low So serviced the Carbtune 2 and still th same Can only have a air leak so spen a bit more time checking the rubbers and refitting the carbs but still not good Tried the old WD 40 trick squirted on the rubbers and it picks up, but still could not fine the problem At this point I was getting a bit worried as I'd set the valve clearance and started to think of all the reasons why it wouldnot run. So in the end fitted a spare set , a quick clean and once coaxed into life the bugger fired up fine Carbtune worked fine quick balance and it tick over fine So I need to see what changing the backs on the race carbs has done as ita can't be anything else , one for later in the week So its a live
