Hi all. I want to have a go at replacing a weeping valve cover gasket.. Easy enough to to with engine it situ? I'm looking at this part rocker_cover_gasket_seal but I'm hink there may be another bit.. Cheers J

Hello Jamie. That's the only piece you need to replace yours if it's leaking. I have only ever done mine with the engine out on the FZ but done other bikes with engine in place no bother. Just be sure it's seated properly all the way around before you tighten the bolts down fully. I've heard of people using super glue to keep the gasket in place but never found it necessary myself.

Thanks - I was curious about the 'cam holder gasket' too. When the time come I'll double check the seepage by degreasing the area first. Looks like Yambits are the cheapest for a replacement too - 20 quid.. Did my XJ550 this year but plan to be back on the FZ for Summer 2017. Bought a nearly new (well 2015) Bridgestone front tyre still on a GPZ900 wheel recently - also 20 quid!
