I need some advice on how to, if possible, save my front cowl. Bike was tipped in garage and upon removal of all other mounting hardware, was discovered that the molded plastic tab for the left lower mounting bolt had broken from the inside. Without this tab I can't loosen this bolt and attempts to remove by conventional methods have spread the crack to over half the length of the fairing. I've already bought replacement mirrors and windscreen for the factory fairing. I really, really don't want to have to cut it off since I'm in the US and plastics for this model are next to impossible to find, super expensive, and usually in nearly as bad condition as what I've already got. Any relevant experience and advice is appreciated. See photos here, or on the Facebook group Yamaha FZ750 , FZ700, FZX and Fazer: photos.app.goo.gl/cYksnBRG8KYz89d53

Don't know if you got sorted as its been a few months, but I have used this stuff (www.plast-aid.com/) to carry out extensive repairs to my plastics including repairs to both the moldings you have an issue with a finish that was better than original.
Hope it helps
