Hi, does anyone know where I can get individual pod type air filters from to fit my FZ750 that is fitted with Thunderace carb's. The carb's have a ~68.5mm flange so I'm looking at filters with a slightly larger inlet than that. Trouble is the only ones I can find that will fit on the carb inlets are too wide to fit side by side across the 4 carb's. Any ideas please..

OK, that didn't get the results I was hoping for, does anyone know if a Thunderace airbox will fit in the gap between the carb's, frame rails and fuel tank please?

Sorry mate. I have reminded everyone on the Facebook page about the forum but it's not as busy as I used to be in here. I can't help. I've got fzr1000 engine with 1000 carbs. I modified the air box to carb rubbers as mine would not fit over the carb mouths they were so hard. The mod fits both 750 & 1000 carbs so guessing they are the same size. My air box is still the 750 item so it all fits lovely.

Thanks Graham, I've got a standard FZ750 air box so will give that a try. What did you use instead of the original 750 carb' to airbox rubbers as the ones on mine are way smaller than the ~68.5mm of so that the thuderace carb's are. Do you have any pictures? Cheers Ray

I measured the o/d of my carbs (can't remember the measurements) then went to my local motor factors place & bought a length of radiator hose with the same I/d. I think there was a kink/bend in it but enough on the straight part for what I needed. Had to cut the useless bit off my standard rubbers so new hose would fit over them & used a spare set of clamps to hold each new length at the top. Existing clamps can still be used around the carbs. I think you just cut 4 lengths about 40mm each but it was around 6 years ago so best if you do your own measurements to be safe. I don't recall taking any pics of it but if you Google it there is a useful blog somewhere on t'internet with pics & instructions using blue silicon hose.

I've got 1000 exup carbs on mine with bell mouths fitted, so the ramair filters that Nick has mentioned would work well with my setup, providing the diameters match.
