Gents, I'm hoping for a helping hand, my fz I'm building is fighting me So it's got 1000 top end, I thought it was a 2mg loom but it seems it's a 2kk, not sure if there is any difference? So, presuming there isn't? I have elimated the side stand switch and clutch cut out by joining the terminals. The motor happily turns over and all lights work but no spark. I have a 2mg and 1000 2gh cdi and tried both, swapped coils and pick up. ..does anyone else have any ideas? Currently yank is off and therefore fuel sender is not connected but that should not make any difference......I need help....aaarrrrggghhhh....losing the will to live You can see the build on the forum! It's a slow one

Are you getting 12V at the coils? Have you hot a good 12v feed yo the igniter? Has the igniter unit got a good earth? Is there good continuity between the igniter and the coils? Do the coils havd the correct resistance?
If the answer to all these questions is yes, your igniter is shot.

Just to put this one to bed. I narrowed it down to the crank pick up, swapped it over and she started...happy days. All a bit out on the carb set up but that's easily sorted.
