Bike is spewing fuel from overflows - had the carbs off the other week and thought I'd fixed but clearly some crap still in the system. New filter fitted and now I'm swilling the tank out. Thought I might also replace the o-rings on the float valves while I'm at it, Does anyone know the size? I'm thinking 7.5 ID x 1.5 mm but I can't check cos the battery on my verniers is flat!

That sounds the same as the oil cooled GSXR seals Jamie, they use Mikuni carbs, so it's a fair bet they'll be the same - you probably know already but good o ring seals can be bought really cheaply from suppliers or from that bidding site, I normally only buy from companies that sell just seals and the like - never had a problem. I saved this info for my GSXR Mikuni work - but there should be similarities. carbseals.docx (12.07 KB)

I bought and fitted some 7.5 x 1.5 o-rings. They're not quite right but they appear to work (ok short test only & fingers still crossed). I'm sure this is also the size I used on my 550/600 XJ carbs.
