Cleaning the carbs again to try and cure the recent mid-range (5.5-6k) fluff. Squirting cleaner through the pilot hole and I get a nice stream form the isolated pin hole but much less from the group of three by the butterfly - normal?

I think mine were the same when I cleaned them last week. would midrange be affected by a pilot jet?

I think mine were the same when I cleaned them last week. would midrange be affected by a pilot jet? I don't honestly know. It picks-up ok then stutters around 6k then picks up again - presumably once the mains are on stream. I'm open to other ideas? Cheers J

I’m no expert but I’d check the needle position, perhaps lift them up a notch or two?

Yeah, the thing is this is a recent aberration. It hasn't always done it, hence the thorough cleaning bit.

Issues like that can really drive you nuts. I recently had a gs750 that didn’t like pulling up a slight incline at around 3500, been on a dyno they said it was spot on! I put a slightly larger pilot in and the bike rides perfect now. Sounds like a good clean might sort you out.
