Hi All ! Picked up an 86 FZ750 couple months back and have been dipping in to the forum now and again for pointers . I’ve read the couple of post that these two are an UTTER @!/!?.. so I’ve rebuilt both and gotten to the no leaks stage … bled and bled and ya that some more! About to try reverse bleed as I’m running out of options quickly . My question is about how much travel can one expect from the slave .. I get a 1/8 maybe 1/4 inch on the very outer limits. It seems to begin moving maybe 1/4 the way on the lever . My next option would be to start looking at the clutch itself but I’m still thinking I should get more travel from the slave ? Any help / Info much appreciated!! Hey from Lake Tahoe btw ..

Hi, It's been a while since I had to mess with mine but they don't move much. Just enough to release the pressure plates. With the cylinder fitted can you feel plenty of resistance at the lever? No free travel? If there's not much resistance then you still need to bleed more.

I’m not in panic mode yet , going to try reverse bleed today . Went and bought a mity-vac to pull it through but wasn’t impressed. As stated I can pull the lever a between a 1/4 to 1/3 of the way with no travel at the slave before I get any movement. It’s probably like everything else in life you wish for it to be easy and straightforward but there always unforeseen obstacles. Been lucky so for with my $500 gamble just ALOT of neglect. Thanks for the response!!

No idea how you post pics using mobile phone sorry. Sounds like you still have air in the system. Good luck.
