Wow looks fantastic - great work!. Does this mean you have an OEM exhaust for sale? ;-) Where in NL are you? I'm often in Eindhoven for my job. Life 30km above Amsterdam. And maybe it is for sale... Do you know teh paint code your guy used for the frame? It looks close to original Sorry, no idea. picked the colors out of a book, and I would not know what thy are.

small update, been bussy last few weeks. Ran the bike on the dyno, and last weekeind I had my first race-demo in OSS. Bike ran great, no major issues. P.S. Dyno graph is no yet with the right mainjet. after this run I changed jets.

Interesting stuff. Just got back from a trip to Isle of Man.. All ran great BUT I have flat-spot around 5k-5k5 which is particularly annoying on the motorway over here 70mph is 5k in top! I see from your graph no flat spot !! I might experiment with the pilot screw and/or raising the needle a notch t see of that helps - any thoughts? Attachments:

I think 5k is needle / carb-piston-spring territory. I drive stock carbs, with a Dynojet kit (springs, needles and a lot of jets) and an K&N. Tried to set it up on the road, but I did not get it right. Have been tot this tuner and het told me how to adjust it. Did that work myself, he only ran the bike on the Dyno. because I did most off the work, the bill was not that bad. Man is great, a mate of my also was on man. I tried to follow the event, the drivers are real brave.

Lots of Dutch guys, French and Germans on IoM.. not so hard to get there these days as they have bigger boats (more bike capacity) and lots of camping accommodation. Years ago you HAD to book 1 year in advance, but now , meh, I reckon you could pitch up and get on standby. One guy rode 2000 miles from Portugal !
I 'tested' the flat spot by pulling the choke a little which made it worse so I might try and drop the needles a notch, I also need to balance the carbs, so I've ordered to M6 hose tails etc..

A good friend of mine was just back in time back from Man to drive the race demo in Ermelo. His stories make me wonder if I Should gonext year. Lowering the needles sound right. The exhaust is still here, let me know when you are in Nederland again.

There always has been, Assen was a road track in from 1925 (some parts unpaved) until 1955, when it became semi permenent. There are some more road track, like Hengelo and they host races for the Open Dutch Championship. This event is not a real race, it is not about who is the fastest, but it is about regularity. This way they can get the permits and insurance, and also there is no hard racing between contenders over positions. Also there is a limitation in the speed of the bikes, they all must be before 1986. And it real fun.

The motor-race-demo-season is over for this year. Drove this year without to many problems. The major one was the mastercilinder of the front brake. I rebuilt it in the restoration of the bike but it was not working proper. For the rest the bike was great. This winter gone build a 911 engine for it, got most of the past I need. Great work good luck with the 911 build!
BTW I did lower the needles one notch and it sure has helped - not 100% linear still but much better I think.
