As the TT is looming my thoughts are towards a practical luggage rack to get all our camping gear on the back of the FZ. Last year was a sruggle with little or no anchor points. I am thinking of designing one and getting a number of them manufactured/welded. Obviously, a production will work better if we can make say 5 or 6 or more so if anyone out there is interested in a cheap 'stylish' but above all Practical rear luggage carrier let me kno (pm me or email to johnohanlon@uwclub.net) I have access to a Yamaha one but it is a bit small for a camping trip but it has some good ideas for anchor points. I also have a centre stand (this is an original off an early 1FN) which if anyone is interested I could have manufactured - again PM me if interested.

Hi; just saw this post and I know it's an old one, but I'm looking for a centre stand for my 1985 bike if it's still available. cheers Andy

John Back in the eighties we use to use gearsack racks. They were very sturdy and would take two large bags, one to the rear and another right behind you. There are still the odd ones around for sale. In fact I saw one at a local bike shop yesterday and it was 25 bucks. The mounting points were rear subframe and easy to fabricate to suit fz as it is basically three quarter box section. The modern rack available now comes from New Zealand and are incredibly expensive. They are quite sporty however but for a rack and brackets to suit you will probably looking at 400 aus. Just thought I'd mention G
