Nice one crusty. I hate having my picture taken unless I've either had plenty to drink or am stood chatting with 2x British touring car champion Chris Hodgetts in my local boozer. Here a picture that qualifies on both counts.
Not the best picture of me (on the left) but I took it meself with the phone & was slightly sloshed. ;D We chatted breifly about touring cars then spent half an hour talking about British Super Bikes ! He is well into bikes it turns out. Top bloke.
That one's an Ovation Celebrity roundback semi-acoustic. Dunno what I was playing/ singing but I can guarantee that the amount I'd drank, it wouldn't be very complicated, as you can see by the D chord. Think we were doing some Bowie around that time!!!!
No doubt with that dirty smoked dog poo that they call sausage. Do you use your FZ a lot?
i must admit i do like the german sauages unfortunatly i dont get to ride my bike very often as it is in a friends garage about 5 miles away , i have no where to keep it dry and shiney. i ride when i can, probably a bit to fast bt it makes me smile ;D
What a shame. Have you not got anywhere at your home to put it? You should ride it as often as you can, as you're never going to kill yourself at this rate!!! I was going to use mine for work this morning, got my gear out and when I went for the bike I'd thrown my welder and all my tools in the garage behind it and didn't have time to move them all. Boohoohoo. Guess what I'm doing tonight?
vtr: Hi from cape town; new at forum's not at bike building; the insanity is contagious. Recently acquired a "1FU" FZ750 with dropped valves and decided cool to rebuild as a 911conversion sleeper, what we do to ourselves...

grahamfirestorm: Can anyone tell me why my bike doesn't seem to light up after 7000rpm like all the research I did before buying it.She has the standard 4 into 1 exhaust, carbs rebuilt with new jets,seals,floats,2 new diaphragms, all valve clearances checked and adjusted?

grahamfirestorm: She revs round to 10000rpm ok,but there is no urgency with it,my 1987 Kawasaki gpx750 was a lot quicker, and that was supposed to be 10-15 bhp down, ive been told the standard silencer and air filter are to blame but I don't believe that.

Graham : grahamfirestorm. Do you have standard size main jets fitted to your carbs? I would be tempted to go up a size or even two to see if it helps the bike pull stronger at high revs.
