Hello folks, you may have noticed the forum home page & background have changed slightly. In order to brighten the place up a bit I have enlisted the help of my brother who is much better at this sort of thing than I will ever be. Ideally I would like (him) to use images submitted by forum members of their FZ's or images of your favorite FZ's as long as we have permission to copy them. Not sure how many he is intending to use or where they will end up but I thought it would be better to have pictures of "our" bikes rather than a complete stranger's. If anyone has a favorite picture of their bike or bikes that they would like to see on here as the background image or in the title space then you can either post it on here somewhere (gallery would be an obvious place) or send the image via PM to either myself (Graham) or my bro' (macflurry). I don't know when he will get round to changing it but he has a lot of time to kill when he's not being a soldier. i could get him to change it now & then or he could design several "skins" for this forum from which you can choose your favorite & make it your default setting. ;D
Hi Graham, Dont want to upset you but, the picture of the FZ with a full fairing!!!!!!, there's another post on the site about favouring the half fairing, hopefully others will agree the picture on your home page should be a '85 half fairing FZ750, that's how it began, isnt that what the word Genesis means " how it began" trinity
I will admit to preferring the half faired FZ. I have even changed my fully faired 2MG model to take the smaller lowers but until someone submits some other images or I can find some that i/we have permission to use then the fully faired one above is fine by me. ;D Thanks for all your time & effort in making the forum look better so far Stu, I appreciate it loads.
vtr: Hi from cape town; new at forum's not at bike building; the insanity is contagious. Recently acquired a "1FU" FZ750 with dropped valves and decided cool to rebuild as a 911conversion sleeper, what we do to ourselves...

grahamfirestorm: Can anyone tell me why my bike doesn't seem to light up after 7000rpm like all the research I did before buying it.She has the standard 4 into 1 exhaust, carbs rebuilt with new jets,seals,floats,2 new diaphragms, all valve clearances checked and adjusted?

grahamfirestorm: She revs round to 10000rpm ok,but there is no urgency with it,my 1987 Kawasaki gpx750 was a lot quicker, and that was supposed to be 10-15 bhp down, ive been told the standard silencer and air filter are to blame but I don't believe that.

Graham : grahamfirestorm. Do you have standard size main jets fitted to your carbs? I would be tempted to go up a size or even two to see if it helps the bike pull stronger at high revs.
