Hello people. My name is Alan Seeley and I work for Practical Sportsbikes magazine. At the moment we're looking for modified FZ/FZRs for our 5 of the Best feature. We don't need to ride them, merely photograph them in all their glory. Anyone got any candidates? UK bike's only please. If you want to contact us direct, please call 01733 468396 or emal mu colleague chris.newbigging@bauermedia.co.uk

Hee hee hee
I just remembered (which isn't surprising because of all the modifications I've done on it) that mine has mini-indicators as well, front AND back.
Will this swing it into your mag?
All joking apart, Allie's old FZ was a bit tidy (don't know quite who has it these days) and Kenny's race bike is quite smart under the boring bodywork.
Graham's would be quite nice as well, if he ever gets the bastard started....

I've got Allie's old FZ. I may stick a new set of tyres on, give her a bit of a clean and get in touch with the mag - although North Wales seems like a hell of a trek for a couple of snaps!
Allie - have you still got the mag with the pics in? Would you be able to scan it in or let me know the month so I could grab a back issue?

Depending on where the others are, we can always send a photographer on a bit of a UK toru. Pardon my ignorance but what's the rough spec of the bike? Alan

`it was in the june issue of practical sports bikes, Huskie the spec is below dont know what hawky did to it though. think he improved the front end
The spec is. 1987 fz750 2mg. Fzr1000 exup forks (43mm) plus yokes, 320mm discs (laverda), exup calipers, adjustable clipons. thunderace shock, exup linkages exup wheels, 180 tyre 17inch, metzeler race tech tyres, remus stainless pipe. goodridge all round, exup master cylinders, i lapped the indie circuit at brands in 60 seconds, would go faster but the bike was limited by my lack of talent.
oh i will put some of my FZR 0n the forum as it has changed a bit, it is still developing though. but i am bonding with it , it has a great future planned ;D

Hi Alan I thought i might throw in my track bike too! The spec' is currently: FZR1000 Genny motor with Gasflowed head. YZF750 Gearbox and modified YZF750 Clutch Basket, (prevents clutch shudder on fast starts) Frame modified to accept 1000 Oil Cooler. YZF750 Carbs with modified 1000 airbox, bike runs like sh£$ with pod filters. Modified Micron system. Complete front end from a 5EB R6 Rear wheel from R6 and underslung caliper from a Gilera Scooter! Harris rearsets. Swingarm was shortened by FZ Guru Steve spencer, bike now runs same chassis dimensions as a 1999 R6, so he assures me.
