1. The triangular fairing part between the lower fairing halves that faces the front wheel 2. The brace inside the lower fairing 3. A left mirror 4. The panels on the tops of the lower fairings that house the fuel tank switch, choke, and on the other side the coolant cap surround 5. A choke knob 6. Windscreen (any tint, any shape, but whole and undamaged) 7. The little visor over the tachometer 8. OEM turn signals that aren't broken and hanging by their wires 9. OEM infill panels between the engine and the fairing 10. OEM ducts around the radiator outlets on the fairings 11. The triangular wind deflectors ahead of the handlebars (actually, I have these, broken but repairable)
All this comes from the fact that the previous owner dropped the bike on both sides or rolled it. He threw away lots of broken bits that I might have welded back together some dreary winter afternoon while the kids watch Lord of the Rings for the tenth time.
1. Give me a picture for this exactly 2. Are you referring to the brace that kinda covers up the headers? If so that is one of the FEW things I don't have. 3. I have TWO sets of mirrors, one set is brand new. 4.are you talking about the little piece that says reserve and regular or whatever? If so, I have a brand new one that I bought awhile back. 5. yes I have the choke knob. 6. I have a windscreen, but it has a tiny chunk that came off since I got brakefluid on it, and it got weak and cracked off. It also has some white paint on it, but that can easily just come right off. I also have a PROPER brand new still sealed in box mount bolts with dampers for the windshield. never even opened. 7. yes i have the visor 8. I have front and rear, and aftermarket rear set. 9.I have BOTH of these, and in fact the radiator one is brand new since the old one was boogered up pretty badly. I bought it a year ago, and barely ever had it on the bike. I have receipts to prove it was bought brand new OEM from bikebandit....they aren't cheap brand new though, but price will be fair. 10. you're referring to the little rubber parts that snug up to the engine on the lower main fairings right? if so i have both attached to the current full fairings i have. 11. I have these, and they are in perfect shape on the visible sides, and the insides have a little paint peel from brake fluid. They both even have the "5 valve" decals in great shape they are red.
I also have the following goodies that are probably well sought after.
1. Complete set of WORKING recently re-built carbs (except diaphragms) everything works and is recently professionaly cleaned. 2. Corbin saddle comfy as a motherF!@#er 3. Full set of fairings with minimal damage and age. the long side fairings are in good shape, the main side fairings are in fair-good shape 4. BRAND NEW airtech streamlining main headlight front fairing. 5. 4-1 full system Vance and Hines in decent shape, and has no rust on the can, some on the headers, but i can clean that off for you, so you can get it powder coated if you want. 6 OEM airbox with K&N drop in filter. this airbox also has 4 brand new rubbers that connect to the carbs, and 4 brand new OEM clamps for those rubber connectors. 7. Dunlop GT501S tires in the stock front and rear size these tires are 99% new, they have less than 150 miles on them. 8. Entire set of EBC HH Sintered pads, I put them on the bike on two calipers, but the bike never ran after they were installed, one set is still in the packaging, it's open, but you can CLEARLY tell they have never even been used.
Thanks for the PM. Since it is the same as your reply here, I'll answer here. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. It's been a heckuva week.
Many of the fairing parts are depicted on this diagram:
1. The triangular fairing between the long fairing sides is part 70 in the diagram. 2. I thought there was a separate metal brace like the upper fairing uses, but there isn't one depicted in the parts diagram. Maybe part 70 serves the purpose? 3. How much for one of the sets of mirrors? I only need a left mirror, but my right one is floppy and I don't see how to tighten it, so maybe I need a right mirror too. Or is there a trick to tightening it so it doesn't blow backward in the wind? 4. My switch itself is OK. I'm looking the panels that are parts 34 and 35 in the diagram. 5. How much for your choke knob? 6. I've got a line on a Ground Zero ST smoked windscreen for about $70 delivered. I also saw a post on the Ninjette.com forum where a guy bought a special aquarium acrylic glue that fixed his shattered windshield, and I'm itching to give that a try. I've got the hardware. Maybe we can just pull this item out of the discussion for now.... 7. How much for that little visor? An FZ750/700 just isn't complete without this geeky little detail, somehow. 8. How much for the OEM turn signals, front and rear? 9. <gulp> How much is your fair price? 10. Can you post a picture of these? I don't have a picture of them, but the way you describe them it sounds like I might make my own, somehow. 11. How much?
If you prefer, we can go to PM mode for price negotiations, but others might benefit from this info in the future. I'll leave that up to you.
In the extra things you mentioned: 1. I may be interested in the carb set. I haven't tried to pump gas into mine yet, and their pilot jets may be all gummed up. I may get very interested in your carbs. 2. My seat is OEM, in surprisingly good shape, and it seems to be pretty comfy, at least with me straddling the bike saying, "Vroom vroom." 3 and 4. I've got a set of good dealer replacement OEM long fairings in pretty good shape. I've also got an upper fairing in almost good shape. If my attempt to weld the broken tip of the windshield mount on fails, you may hear from me. 5. Rust on the can? My V&H can is polished aluminum, so it can't rust. My headers are pretty rusty, but they may be savable. 6. I'm intrigued by the airbox with the new air horns. I'm short a clamp. Do you have an extra, and if so how much would you charge me for it? 7. Hmmm... my tires are almost used up. How much for your almost new tires? 8. My brakes have lots of pad left, so I'll leave this to later.
Thanks for the extra list. It got me thinking about other things, like tires and the good carbs.
vtr: Hi from cape town; new at forum's not at bike building; the insanity is contagious. Recently acquired a "1FU" FZ750 with dropped valves and decided cool to rebuild as a 911conversion sleeper, what we do to ourselves...

grahamfirestorm: Can anyone tell me why my bike doesn't seem to light up after 7000rpm like all the research I did before buying it.She has the standard 4 into 1 exhaust, carbs rebuilt with new jets,seals,floats,2 new diaphragms, all valve clearances checked and adjusted?

grahamfirestorm: She revs round to 10000rpm ok,but there is no urgency with it,my 1987 Kawasaki gpx750 was a lot quicker, and that was supposed to be 10-15 bhp down, ive been told the standard silencer and air filter are to blame but I don't believe that.

Graham : grahamfirestorm. Do you have standard size main jets fitted to your carbs? I would be tempted to go up a size or even two to see if it helps the bike pull stronger at high revs.
