Still looks a bit wet to me mate. I've been when there's been no other bikes but there's always been cars or people.

Sorry for slow reply Karl, just seen your questions, The Front wheel is from a 2005 R1 as is the rest of the front end, rear from an R6. The motor is stock at the moment but i will be transplanting the 911 engine i'm building shortly. I would say it wouldn't stand a chance against gsxr750's and the like on the track( although the Editor of Practiacal Sportsbikes magazine Jim Moore thought it would be quite a track weapon) but i've whupped them and bigger stuff on the road.
Robbo.

The swingarm is Thunderace, the R6 swinger is too long and would increase the wheelbase which is the opposite of what the FZ needs really.

Hi Robbo, Can you please tell me what shock you have in it? Is it the thunderace? Does it all fit without too much modification?
Many Thanks Keith

It's a proper Swedish ohlins from a yzf750. It's been a while since I fitted it but from what I remember some simple spacers are needed as the top mounting eye is narrower on the yzf shock and I think I had to have a new bush made for the needle roller bearing on the bottom as the spindle is different diameter. Not sure I've got the detail exactly right but I know it wasn't a difficult job.

if you have a look in "robbos FZ pics" page 2, 6th post down you'll see i listed most of the mods I've done to the bike, should help you out. Don't know what year of bike the swingarm came from, don't think it matters.
