Anyone who has done the 87 FZR1000 wheel/swingarm swap, was there a sprocket offset issue? Whats the best way to check this? Thanks, Kevin

i was under the impression that it all fitted without problems Kevin ? Mine is in pieces so can't check but if you can hang on a few weeks i will be able to tell you for sure (frame being coated). I will try using my 1 mtr engineers ruler on the front face of both sprockets if it will go in.

I'm pretty sure the only off-set issues will be running rims wider than the FZR1000 -
YAMAHA FZR 1000 (89-95)
Front Rim Size: 3.50x17 Rear Rim Size: 5.50x17 - tire or rim, going wider will cause off set issue with your chain line
Recommended Front Tire: D204F, size 130/60ZR17, 36 PSI Recommended Rear Tire: D204, size 170/60ZR17, 40 PSI

3.50 front 4.50 rear
Thanks for the tip on the straight edge, I'll check it out. Thanks,Kevin

If you are using the FZR swingarm there shouldn`t be any alignment issues,it should all bolt in,if you do not want to change the rear shock & linkage or lose the centre stand you can use a swing arm off a FJ1100 which uses the same dimensions as the FZR swing arm then the FZR wheel bolts in. I did this on my FZ then adapted a 600 Thundercat wheel to fit so I could use 17" rims
