Have just obtained a 1985 FZ750 as a project. Missing a fair few bits, but apparently it runs ok and needs lots of TLC. Most of the fairing bits are missing, and I will need a set of bars as well. This is just the immediate things that I have noticed. Will be chasing up items in the near future. Sadly it seems that some items are no longer available from Yamaha, looks like the wreckers will get sick of me.
Also ride a Honda ST1100 and have bought this as a project which will hopefully give me a sport bike to ride as well.
Looking forward to discovering the ins & outs of the FZ and maybe catching up with some other Aussie owners.

G'day guys, Grumpy how are you travelling with the parts search? I've noticed the There are a few complete Fz750 kicking around on Gumtree. They are about, it's just a matter of watching the new ads come in. Your bike will be 30 years old next year and classic class I think they call that. Worth restoring and hanging onto for sure. Grant
