Well not today but earlier this week replaced the flexi rad hoses with silicone tube. I tried this earlier with 25mm ID but it was too big and leaked still. Now got some 22mm ID that stretches over nicely. Will test for water tightness later this weekend now I have some coolant. Also have the welded-up exhasut to re-fit (new gaskets) and the front brake to bleed again..
.. then I plan a sneaky pre-MOT outing..
Cheers

Got mine started today! Sounds good but there's a lot of smoke coming from somewhere....I'm hoping its just the green algae and shoite that have accumulated on the motor in the 7 years it has been sat in the previous owner's garden. If its coming from the exhaust there could be trouble

Cleaned up the contacts on the FZ temp gauges (working now I think)and FZTimmy showed me how to properly tighten my rad hoses. Then we got the carbs back on the XJ598 (XJ550 with a Radian 600 engine in..) ran out of shed time to try running up the XJ though..
