Hi. New to the forum. Live in Northumberland uk. Just bought a 1990 FZ750. So far so good. Bit different from my previous bikes. Mostly owned early 90's sports bikes.

Hello & thanks for registering. What 90's sports bikes have you owned? I've had a TRX850 & an early fireblade.

Hi. Ive owned several awful early 90's kawaski gpx 250 / 400 and 600's. a very nice 99 zzr600. A thunderous 90 vfr400 which killed my back. A 93 suzuki rf600 which decided one day never to start again. A 93 Honda cbr600 with the pink tiger stripes. which was my favourite but I fell off in Scotland trashing it and got myself airlifted. Last bike (before the FZ750) which I sold last october to fund a trip to new Zealand was a 94 honda cbr1000f. Lovely bike but bloody heavy.... ive had several other bikes in between 2 x yamaha xj600's pre diversions. A canny lil suzuki gs 450 Custom chopper. A 1993 Honda Cb400 superfour. So quite a few Lol... just something about bikes from the 90's besides them being cheap....

Hi, I live in Sydney Australia. I have taken out the motor of the 1985 FZ750 as it has weak compression on 2 cylinders. Not looking forward to grinding 20 valves. I also have a 1971 Honda CB750 I have had the motor out 5 times trying to correct an oil leak. From now on I will just budget on losing a spoonful of oil each ride, which mostly ends up on my trouser leg. So far on the FZ I have re-chromed the forks, new clutch and brake master cylinders and resprayed. Will lodge a photo when it is back together. If I have to buy valves etc. where is best place ? Think I need a new Tacho and a fuel sender unit. Previous bikes include a VTR 1000, VFR 800, BMW 850.
Valves have been leak tested so it must be the rings. I have also bought new front and back rotors, drive chain slider, cogs and drive chain. This is going to be the most expensive FZ known to man pretty soon.
