Great site here!! I've been a guest for a while but thought i better anounce my arrival!! I'm currently rebuilding a mix and match FZ750 thats made up of a few different years bits. Hope to have it finished soon and i'll even see if i can get some pics up. Keep up the good work and it would be great to see some of you sometime.

I'll give it a go tomorrow. Had the motor rebuilt, frame coated and just got the wheels back today. Should hopefully be rolling about next week!! Gone for the FZ6 calipers but i would like to look for an USD front end over winter. Think its going to be painted like Geoff Crusts that was featured in PB a few years ago. Do i need to use a photo bucket account to upload pics? Many thanks Ian

Hiya Fatbloke, welcome to the site. I still have the writeup of Geoff Crusts bike and you'd be a very lucky man if you could get the same parts on your FZ as Geoff used, your bike would stand out nicely in yellow. As Tomster mentioned, keep a photo diary (so to speak) and keep us all updated on your progress, good luck.

Hello fatbloke. Your bike sounds a bit like mine, made up from different year FZ's. You are a bit ahead of me with your frame being ready to have bits bolted back to it. Look forward to some pictures of yours for inspiration with mine.

Yep, would love some of the ex GP500 stuff for it but even with the funds they never seem to come up for sale. Tyres and wheels dropped of so should have the big old lump rolling around again on monday!! Its only been in bits for 18 months!! Is it just me or does everyone else think they will remember where all the bits go only to have a pile of "spares" left after the rebuild?

Howdy. I put the FZ6 calipers on too. 'Fatbloke' is a good self deprecation - someone told me the best way to make the bike go faster was to take some weight off it - ie; go to the gym. Fuck that - easier to get more horsepower.

WOW!!! It worked!!
Just got the wheels back in and its off the bench for the first time in 18 months. No idea what its going to run like with the bell mouths on but i'll give it a go and see if i can get it to carburate at all. Just looking for a carbon can and then get it painted. let me know what you all think so far

Things are definitely going in the right direction and looking good so far. I don't know what the bellmouths will run like, or what the airflow will be like for them. As long as you don't mind tinkering with jets and needle heights, then I see no reason why you can't get it running properly. Thanks for the pics and keep them coming.
