Thanks Scott I am developing a thing for '80s super bikes. I think this was the last era when bikes from the different manufacturers had identity and they were all trying out different things. I have a 85 GPZ600R, 82 Ducati 500SL, and 83 850 Guzzi Le Mans and an 81 Honda CX500 in the garage as well. I need a CB900F2 to finish the set. The Kat is an awesome bike - only a 750 version but so much fun to ride (even if she is a dinosaur compared to some of the others). Cheers PK

For me the middle weight sports bike scene started fairly & squarely with the GPZ600R. Why these bikes aren't changing hands for good money is beyond me.

Couldn't agree more - seems that everyone is obsessed with the GPz900 due to some silly movie..... In Oz the 600's are so cheap restos are really a waste of money. I treat it as a learning experience as the change from 75 (the last bike I did) to 85 is enormous..
