hiya one and all, i have just replaced a head gasket on my R1 ( nearly an FZ). now i want to get the mucky oil and water mixture that has ended up in the engine due to blown head gasket flushed out. I have cleaned the sump out sorted the water pump seal and put some cheap oil in to start flushing. i will put a new filter on . but is there any way apart from changing the oil a lot that can clean it out in a safe way. ??

I presume you are talking about muck in the cylinders or in the oil channels or in the water channels?
I would have thought the bores would clean out pretty quickly once it's run. The oil channels should be OK once you've changed the oil, leaving the coolant channels which you can flush out until the bucket is clean and replace the coolant.
