Would anyone have or know where i could get a top yoke to fit the FZR 1000 43mm forks on my 750 FZ with the " pinch bolts " at the rear or side of top yoke, im finding the std clipons clashing with fairing, so maybe a conversion type for other bars, not fussy as long as i can fit my raised clipons,
thanks Ian

Hello Ian. Sorry I can't help with the yoke other than suggest the yoke that was originally fitted with your forks but I'm guessing that's not an option? I found my TRX850 clip ons fouled the FZ fairing on full lock with FZR forks & yoke fitted. I angled them in just enough so that they missed then drilled & tapped a new hole in the yoke to fix them down. I don't think the bolt through the clip on to yoke is vital as the pinch bolts should hold them where they're put but wasn't taking any chances. I could take a pic if you like? There was/is? I lady on the TRX850 forum who did/does machining work but I haven't been on there for years. I have contacts in the engineering world who could no doubt make you a top yoke from scratch but I'm guessing it would be very time consuming/expensive. I would expect any of your local engineering company could help but the price would put me off.

Do you mean you trimmed the fairing for more clearance?

Ho Graham, No, i used the plastic card and bought an ABM top yolk from Bikermart,it is a german conversiion for superbike bars etc, but i probably not use superbike bars or clamps, as i have some new raised clipons,on the FZR1000 EXUP the bars fit below the yolk, 750 on top, the problem was the yamaha yolk has the fork leg pinch bolts at the front and they are in the way, i needed a yolk with a straight front edge ( no pinch bolts ), i checked with Bikermart and he confirmed the conversion yolk was straight at the front, they use allen bolts sunk into the yolk leaving the front straight so i can fit my new bars, which will clear the fairing, if you visit the site you can see the item, i'll just either cover the riser holes with alloy plate or just put a couple of stainless bolts in with no heads, or just leave alone , lol depends how it looks,
