Even if you drop the forks through the yokes until the mudguard hits the lower yoke, jack the rear up until the chain is sawing the swing arm pivot in half and shorten the swing arm until the tyre is rubbing the cross brace, the FZ does NOT need a steering damper :-)

I have seen a few fz750s get all discombobulated in the front during racing ( 16" front wheel) so if using your 16" front wheel and racing might b worth looking at !
