Hi all,
Project bike coming along well and still on to ride it at Pembrey crmc in March.
Bike is 1FN with 2mg motor and the genesis barrels fit straight on with no machining, I'll be building the bike as most have said on the forum with the 750 head, so my questions is to those of you that have either done this or know does the 750 head have to have any mods done ( ie, compression lowered ) or left as is.
Any help/advise as always appreciated.
Paul
PS, anyone know of a low mileage gearbox ? PM me please if you do.

Paul As far as I am aware there is no need to alter the compression providing that you are using standard Yamaha parts, If you were using performance pistons then I presume it would be worth checking the compression. The only modification that I had done to my cylinder head was to get it gas flowed to F1 spec, and an OW01 cam (can't remember which one but I believe only one will fit). Hope this helps.

My 911 ran with the 750 head & a genuine FZR1000 gasket, just fine. No idea what compression ratio it calculated out to, but no pinging whatsoever.
