A recovery truck reversed into it when I was sat on it.
I've still got all the bits, he picked them all up off the road for me.
His insurace will have pay for the repairs, and respray...

Well, he did drive a recovery truck.
I think it's a built-in instinct for him.

I'll keep that in mind. I'll wait and see what the insurance comapny say. They may want to write it off. In which case I'll probably get in touch.

Well, the news for the guy who picked up the FZ and dropped off the loan bike is that it's likely to be a writeoff, cause it's not economical to repair.
He reckons the only thing that will save it is the fact that decent FZs are quite rare now.
I'm thinking of buying it back, but will need to replace the headlamp, and also the cage that it goes in. The one on mine is bent....
Oh, and the loan bike? They didn't have any 750s so I'm riding round on a Bandit 1250....

good fun the big bandit. Had to adjust my brain riding my mates this summer. My Fireblade wheelies in 1st & 2nd off the throttle no bother but failry high revs when it comes up. Bandit comes up in 1st but almost from tickover! Loads'a torque. ;D

You probably know this but doesn't hurt. If you buy it back & replace the fairing subframe, make sure you get one for a 2MG & not the early 1FN. The indicator mounts are longer on the early model so no hole on top fairing is needed. Unless you get an early top fairing & don't fancy cutting holes in it for you indicators of course. I will shut up now.

The alternative is to bend it back straight, but i need to find someone with an MG so that I can compare them.
