Hello folks. December 1985 sat on a train from Kings Cross to my Grimsby home, MCi mag on my lap I struggled to get past one add.. I'd liked the original Silver/Red FZ but the new Blue/White ones stopped me dead. On March 23rd 1986 I collected one of the first 12 to arrive in the UK, £3160 spanking new from Chucks of Basildon. I did 24000 miles in the first year and loved it to bits. As often is the case, life in the form of marriage & children took it's toll. Sadly so did my lack of attention, a nasty crank rumble confined the bike to the garage for a year before I finally sold it for £1200 in 1993 with 45000 miles on the clock. I never wanted a bike so much before the FZ, and never ached so much for one since. The new owner said when he stripped the engine other than the crank it was in superb condition. Last time I checked the DVLA site it had run out of tax in 2001 and had been painted yellow. C882 KVW where are you now.? Fast forward 24 years and an FZ is once again in my thoughts, after selling ma Divvy 600 I need a bike, allsorts have run through my mind, but another FZ would tick all my boxes. I'm four-kids-skint but on the lookout.. Cheers, Mick. Grimsby Lincs.

Hi Mick, I spoke to you earlier by email regarding the FZ750 Club. Thanks for joining the Forum site. That is a sad story indeed. It would be great to see you re-united with your FZ but there are still loads coming up on ebay for not a lot of cash. I am bidding on one which ends today and it is up to £250 and I reckon it will go for less than £400 and would make a good start. cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110608759548&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITIf you want to have a stab at it let me know and I will not bid anymore Regards John

You're a good man John. This is just how we can help each other on here Hey, after I put that there were no more bids on the Loctite FZ so I won it for £267......hope it isn't a SHED I could always slap it back on the bay or as they say where I live theebay!..... Or I could MINT it and RAG it to death round the IOM next year..... OR I could swathe it with WD40 and bury it in the garden in a giant plastic bag and dig it up in 20 years time and sell it....

Bit of a running joke at work that if it's an FZ, I'll buy it......................and I probably would if I had the space. Just one on the road and running would suit me for now!!!

Wow.. that's got to be a bargain. I'm not quite mobile enough to ride yet & though I was interested I thought it'd go for a fair bit more so didn't follow it. Wish I had now.. good effort John.!
