As all of you on here will know , interest in FZ's seems to be growing. Just thought i'd let you all know the next issue of Practical Sportsbikes is out in about three weeks and in it will be a feature on a tidyish FZ if you care to have a look.

Well Done Robbo! I will have to reserve one at the newsagents.
Did the journalist/photographer/editor specifically say thet interest is growing in the FZ?
Today I bought a '95 YZF 750 with just 17k miles on the clock and the same owner for the last 13 years (basically I am sick of the lads taking the mickey out of my 'Old man' (FZ 1FN) so i bought this coz it looks mint and has lots of trick bits and bats on it) and on my first ride out I have to say thst although the bike has better brakes, Ohlins suspension and a mill that is supposed to be more powerful with the infamous exup valve I was disappointed. I think folks out there judge what the bike looks like most of the time and then you have all the nonesense about 16 inch wheels being no good. But somehow, and it may be that I am more used to my old man's brakes and handling, it just seems that the old man is better warts an all???

Thanks John,
It was Jim Moore and Rory Game that came to ride and photograph the bike.
Jim and I were talking about how FZ's seemed to be gaining popularity, more so than when they first came out, He has just bought an FZ himself as a project bike. He was suprised at how strong the engines pull for such an old bike and commented that my bike could scare some of the modern stuff on track. I wouldnt know as i've never been on track.
Rory made a good point that a good bike with a good engine even as old as the FZ doesn't suddenly become rubbish just because the newer stuff is better. He rides an early R6 and loves it as the the engine is stronger for real world riding than the new ones.

Cheers Steve, yeah i'm well pleased with it, I was also pleasantly suprised when Jim said how well it handles with all the mods. I knew it was much better than stock but i hav'nt been on a modern bike for so long that I didnt really have anything to compare it to. So for a professional rider to be so impressed with it was great.
Hows yours progressing?
Robbo.
