Thanks John, dunno if any other mags are interested but I would like to get my race kit bits on and 911 done first anyway.
Plus Jim wants to come back and do photoshoots on my LC and SDR200 in the summer so i've got to get them ready too, busy times ahead!

Absolutely fantastic article. I've had this mag a few times and I really like it. I can't wait to finish my caravan off and get back to working on my bikes. On a day like today it should be illegal to drive a car

Andy, are you planning on 'wearing out' the current 750 and then upgrading to a 911? I honestly think that to leave it standard is the best option....once you start boring out you will get very close to the water jacket and I wouldn't vouch for the reliability of it revving in excess of 8k Why not just do a track bike in that format?

No John I wouldn't dream of risking messing up the bike's original engine.
I have an FZR750 engine to do the conversion on, no boring out is required, you just fit the cylinders and pistons from an FZR1000 genesis, ok it's maybe not quite that simple,a bit of machining is required but it's not too difficult i don't think. Its a fairly well known modification.
Yeah Tom i like the mag too, it covers more of what I'm into these days. I think its age related!

Yeah you're probably right. I have to say that you know you're getting old when you want your bike with a bit of "character" hahaha

I was one of those strange people who never took their car test until late. I was 27 when I relented and bought a car, as I'd always had a few bikes up until then and holidays were touring and camping. Me and the wife would do our weekly shopping on the bike, with some throw-over panniers to hold the goodies, often getting some nice nibbles and a couple of titchy bottles of wine from Marks and taking the scenic route on the way home for a picnic. The bad times were very few and the good times many, with bike rallies or a run out with the lads most weekends. Could I go back to a tent on the back of the bike?? Probably not. I'd like to think that I still could, but with me owning a motorhome and a caravan as well it would just be a bit nuts (and more than likely a bit hard on my old bones!!!) I stick to my earlier statement though....... when the sun's out, they should ban cars from the roads
