Pulling my forks off for a bit of work but can't get the air valve system to budge so I can remove them from the lower triple clamp.
I don’t believe these forks have ever been off, any tips or tricks to get the air valve system to slide off?
I’ve pulled the rubber line and all fitting and even removed one of the fork caps and rubber-hammered it a bit.
Is it just the o-ring holding it on the upper fork leg and I need to apply more pressure?
Thks Scott

There are grooves machined into the fork legs for circlips. From memory, they are on the lower side of the air assist doings but I could be wrong about that. They're probably just corroded - try soaking them in release agent.

Have you got a service manual? I have one on DVD if it will help. PM Me for a copy John

Thanks Fz750Horse! I found the circlip on the underside, removed it, and was able to extract the air valve and fork leg with a bit of force.
Funny the service manual indicates to 'remove' the air valve but no mention of the circlip.
