Well i have got all the front end on now... yay The fj clipons cannot be bored out as they will be to thin around the forks, so i have ordered the expensive ones that are adjustable in three directions. Just waiting for them now, all i have to do then is bleed the new brakes and put my rear sets on ( they hit the exup swing arm though , just a little mod i think) so soon i will be able to get the MOT and post pics...

For those interested in the FZ6 brake upgrade, I can confirm the correct master cylinder is 16mm (vs 5/8 standard on FZ). I have acquired one and will be fitting shortly. I imagine will make a big difference!

Sorry Graham I have no idea on other models. I couldn't find any data on the FZ6 master cylinder so just went ahead and got one off eBay and it has 16 scribed on the side.

Is there a design advantage to the 16mm master? 16mm is basically the same size as 5/8"...well, actually less that .005" larger. Just wondering.

Yeah you are right. my original maths was shite, I thought 5/8 was more like 13mm. In reality the new 16mm master cylinder probably makes 5/8ths of fuck all difference. Oh well I'll put them on and try anyway because the current setup is not ideal.
