I got some fairing blisters/ protectors or whatever you would like to call them, from Paul Catlin today. I have to say that they're great and if anyone wants some, please let him know and he'll make you some. Nice to have a source of parts. Thanks Paul.

Hi Tomster, glad you are happy with the scoops. Paul made the mold from a set I sent him. I got my originals back on Tuesday with a set ''with compliments'' and I have to say they are very neat compared to other fabrications I have seen out there. Paul is a true professional and a man of his word.
Must have coincided with mine because I sent him a set that I got back with a complimentary pair too! I'll ask if he wants to make seat units, but I think the upholstry bit will be difficult. Ant suggestions anyone?
I have also gone to Paul for parts and concur that his parts are of a very good quality. Especially considering they are re-fabricated. That being said they do of course need a bit of prep and finish work to look good on a bike, but only very minimal work. I got the front fairing, lower fairings, solo seat cover, and reserve switch cover from him and you can see them all in my build thread if you'd like.
FZJamie has had a couple of 1FN lowers and they are excellent quality. I have asked Paul for a 1FN rear light unit but he has not been able to find an original item with which to copy. Anyone want to lend him one? He won't run off with it and I'm sure he'll return the favour......or I will.

grahamfirestorm: Can anyone tell me why my bike doesn't seem to light up after 7000rpm like all the research I did before buying it.She has the standard 4 into 1 exhaust, carbs rebuilt with new jets,seals,floats,2 new diaphragms, all valve clearances checked and adjusted?

grahamfirestorm: She revs round to 10000rpm ok,but there is no urgency with it,my 1987 Kawasaki gpx750 was a lot quicker, and that was supposed to be 10-15 bhp down, ive been told the standard silencer and air filter are to blame but I don't believe that.

Graham : grahamfirestorm. Do you have standard size main jets fitted to your carbs? I would be tempted to go up a size or even two to see if it helps the bike pull stronger at high revs.
