I've read a few things about swapping in an FJ 1100 swingarm in order to get the 17" rear wheel from an FZR 1000 to fit and still keep the centre stand. Am I correct to think that this would work?
For anyone who has done this conversion, is it fairly straightforward, or are there other issues with things like chain alignment and brake calipers?

Yes mate,it does work. Although I have been using a rear wheel off a 600 Thundercat which uses a 160/60 17. To use a 1000 exup wheel you will need to machine approx 5mm off the sprocket carrier & wheel spacer. You will need to get the wheel spindle & chain adjusters off FJ & use a caliper carrier off exup or bore your FZ one out. It`s not difficult you will just need to prepare all your parts. I buit mine as an assembly off the bike so I could get all my parts together & keep all FZ bits incase I return back to standard.
