whats the point of putting a FZR1000 cylinder and head on a FZ750 crankcase?
is seems like i less good wersion of FZR 1000 engine! its the same weight!? and less horsepower. is the torque we want? or is it something else to gain?

head, cylinder block & pistons are used to make the FZ engine 911cc with 6 gears. FZR1000 has 5 gears.

Ok will the FZ gerbox fit in the 1000 case? i heard some thing about strange gearing ratio!?
or you could put a YZF750 gearbox in it.

I don't see the 911 engine as a lesser version of a FZR1000 as I don't own a FZR1000, what the 911 did for me was to give me a better FZ750. If a 911 engine is set up correctly then you can have a midrange power that is as good or even better than the thousand engine, by that what I mean is that you get better midrange if you use the 750 head on the 1000 barrels and pistons instead of the 1000 head as the valves are slightly smaller. Obviously the top end won't be as good but I did manage to do an official 160mph plus at Bruntingthorpe in 1993 so the top end isn't too affected. The other reason for the 911 engine for me was that I don't want to ride around with both of my wheels permenantly on the ground so the extra poke is more fun. The other plus point is that you don't have to change the engine number on your vehicle documents. I know that I am presently using an FZR1000 engine (before anybody decides to point that out) but thats only because my 911 engine is in the loft awaiting repair and one day I'll reunite it with my FZ when I've got the time.

Whether you put the 750 or 1000 head on the 1000 barrels and pistons is up to you. I can't really see the point in putting 1000 barrels, pistons AND head on 750 cases because it would be easier just to put a 1000 engine into the bike. As mentioned earlier, the 750 head on the 911 engine will give you better midrange provided it is set up correctly (I also had a OWO1 exhaust cam in my engine as it has a better profile than the FZ) so you need to ensure that you set the squish and valve clearances to optimum. Depending on which model you have, you may have to ensure that you have the correct conrods (later models are 1.5mm longer) and if you do strip the engine then I would advise that you change the output shaft bearing as it is not uncommon for them to 'let go'. If I remember right, the new Suzuki 750 naked bike is said to have a better midrange than the GSXR750 even though it uses the same engine, simply because Suzuki have put slightly smaller valves in the head, the same principle applies to the 750 head on the 911 engine. Hope this helps.
