Hats off to the pair of you, for doing so well. I love the pictures and look forward to seeing some from Scobri and from Alliekat in a couple of weeks when she has her outing. Makes me quite envious. Ah well. Off out to change the fork seals in mine now and give it another punt at the MOT. I'll maybe get the faults down to one page!!!

Apologies to Allie for posting my pictures on her thread, but here's one of an FZ at Mallory that I prepared earlier... picasaweb.google.com/FZ750Horse/MalloryPark#5223529754195557970Taking into account the angle of lean and the fact that I'm about 6 feet off the line, those of you who know the circuit will not be surprised that I woke the Hairpin Marshall up later in the day Looking forward to your photos from Brands Allie

Cheers Tomster. With regard to your bike, just bear in mind that my X7 was bought in boxes and even the engine was in pieces when I got it. Therefore, as long as you keep plugging away at your bike you'll get it sorted in the end, then hopefully it would be nice to have a group of FZ's at a trackday in the future which means that I've got to pull my finger out & get my FZ sorted. Shame you don't live closer, I'd give you a hand. Some nice pics there 'Horse', we were also lucky to have some cracking weather on Sunday. It's been a long time since I had my FZ around Mallory but this weekend has bought back memories along with your pics. Cheers.

All back together and it's got fairing blisters on it for the first time in the 2 years that I've had it. Front brakes still aren't great so I need a sympathetic MOT tester. Great pics horse, I love action shot. anyone else got any they can share? (sorry Allie)

As far as I know every time the MOT comes round they wrap a cord round the front end and drag the bike forward using a primitive ratchet mechanism attached to the wall and if the bike skids it passes.......LOL that doesn't help when you are cranked over in 4th into a bend and you need to slow SUDDENLY. MOT's are supposed to help us but if you have any doubts about your brakes just remember: what is worth more a £35 MOT Cert or 4-5 weeks off work with a broken shoulder come knee come ankle etc etc ad infinitum....OR a wrse case scenario..

I didn't realise you were given that option. I'll ask when I take it for the re-test. I could do with a few weeks off work

great pics, i hope i dont make a foll of my self . I have spent the day putting the rearsets on, what a pain , with the exup arm and remus pipe, still not 100% happy with back brake as it seems a bit spongy, will have another go at it tomorrow and also go for a ride. Oh what tyre pressures are best with exup wheels and tyres?? 36f 36 back ?

With Supercorsas I like 35 front and rear when hot which is about 29 rear, 30 front from cold.

wow had such fun, was a bit scared at first as such a long time has past since i had been on the track. at first my lap times were about 110 !!! but as i got the groove back they went down to 1 minute still 5 secs off pace but not bad with warped discs !! ( as i found out judder judder) need to get stiffer spring and make a ride height adjuster. other issue were that i found i was using the back brake more due to the front discs and rested my foot on it in the last session and over heated it , caused a bit of a moment . I also found i couldnt lean off the bike as i had got some knee and shin pads that made the leathers to tight so it was difficult to move henc my rather boring riding style you will see when i get the pic uploadeded, if any one has a set of exup 320 mm mill discs, also ducati ones are the same. it would be cool. Got seven sessions so was worn out by the end of the day. My poor Fz put up a good show against the new stuff and was well well and trully thrashed to the limit . Oh and it only just scrapped through the noise test at 105db although there were lots more bikes that were louder it seemed.
