...because I need one I had a plan to shorten an FZR1000 swingarm I've got lying about and fit R6 hangers/adjusters so that my R6 wheels will go straight in without sleeving up an FZ axle. It was all going well until I realised that the FZR swingarm is 20mm wider than the R6 one, so the R6 axle is too short Any suggestions, or do I need to rethink?

I'd just get an engineer to make one to my spec if you can't find an alternative. I can't see any reason why you would have to have a rethink, anythings possible.

I have one I think, will check when I get home. Deff a 28mm as bought a few when setting my bike up.
Hayabusa was the longest I seem to recall them YZF the R6

Ok not got one spare but the one out of my YZF750 is 28mm dia 305mm to taper start and total 340mm from under spindle head

Got one from a Thunderace. So now I just need to hacksaw the swingarm, weld in the adjusters and get the shock re-sprung and re-valved. After I've had the engine refreshed and finished molding a new seat unit and dealt with all the stuff going on in my real life... Maybe sudoku would be a more relaxing hobby...
