I'm going to need to attach a belly pan or fairing lowers with an oil/fluid containment facility to adhere to ACU regs when I start racing my '86 FZ, has anyone any suppliers they know of please?
Also, I'd like to get hold of some plastic white number boards like they used to use back in the day but can't find any suppliers!
Any help most appreciated and hopefully, I might be entering the Manx next year!
Also any advice r.e. gearing, suspension, carburation etc for racing would be helpful

Paul Catlin makes the belly pans, and if you speak to him, I'm sure he'd be able to modify one to your specification.

You can have this one cheap; picasaweb.google.com/FZ750Horse/ThunderbikeUKBrandsGP15th16thMay2010#5480109306993586018As you can see, it's a bit wide at the bottom - I made a narrower one for better ground clearance. It's alloy so a bit lighter than GRP and not flammable (if you use a kit/Gibson type exhaust the belly pan will probably touch it). With a Gibson pipe, stacks and superstock tune I ended up with 137.5 mains (Mikuni). Kenny's Manx GP bike also ended up with these sizes. I don't know about the Manx GP but FZs are a bit too long for short circuit racing; you'll probably want to shorten the swing arm, drop the front as far as possible and lengthen the shock by about 15mm

I use fzr1000 1998 front end and swing arm. I think the forks may be shorter than fz but I still ended up with the fork dropped through 6mm. The bike is LONG and fairly HEAVY but not too bad over here at the MGP. Has standard radiator but still runs cool.
