Hey guys, Name's Kirk. I just bought an FZ 750 here a couple days ago. I've owned an 86 Yamaha Radian and an 05 Suzuki SV650. I'm going to run straight over to the technical section and post about getting a wider rear tire on my FZ. I've found lots of info on the subject but I haven't been able to decipher all the info into something I can turn into a shopping list (keeping in mind that I live in the states) Please help if you can. Glad I found an active forum specific to this bike.. it was most odd that I couldn't find one before. FZ750.com seems dead and I couldn't register to post there. Thanks! Kirk

Welcome aboard! Awsome bikes these are. I have FZR1000 rims on mine. They were modified to take the FZ750 bearings (and therefore axle). Easy work for a machine shop, and the rims are cheap enough. However clearance with a 180 on the back is an issue. I have a 520 chain and there is maybe 1/8" clearance! You'd be better off replacing the rear swingarm with an Exup (it's wider)... they are all over ebay. Send me a pm if you need any spares, I have too many!

Is there another term I should be searching for other than EXUP Swingarm? It appears that the EXUP was not made in the US and when I search ebay I find no swingarms.
Also, someone in another thread mentioned a FJ1100 swingarm is a direct bolt-in. Those are plentiful on ebay. But I'm unsure what wheels woud work with that setup. I'll have to do some more research.
Thanks, Kirk

FZR750's and FZR1000's. Called exup in EU because of the exhaust valve.
