the drivers side rear frame? Specifically the frame in relation to the coolant overflow tank (without the side covers on)? Even some general naked rear frame pics that might help? I think the frame on this bike I just bought is jacked. I noticed the rear wheel (while catching my attention cause it was so skinny) is now catching my attention cause it looks off center. I then noticed a mark on the swingarm that looks like the back of the bolt that holds the passenger left-foot rear peg bolt has scraped on it. Looks like the rear subframe/swingarm may have gotten hit. I have no idea how I missed this.. my attention was elsewhere. I should have gone with my gut. I got a good deal on it but I highly doubt I'll be able to break even if I have to part it out. I'd like some pics to compare before I decide what to do with it. Kirk

Hey guys, I realized I asked a lot. I found the time to go inspect the bike closer but I'm still not 100% certain there is not damage that is gonna make this bike a junker. I'd really like some help. There must be a more accurate way to do this than taking a picture and drawing a line in Fireworks I feel the damage to the subframe may create an optical illusion. The subframe is no doubt damaged. From looking at the passenger side tail light assembly bracket (the ones that connect to the frame near the passenger pegs) - it had a lot of rash, it looks like it went down on it's left side. I also think the large hoop that the passenger peg is mounted to is also bent inwards. That's the only explanation I have for pic 3 (that and a shot shock). So, to possibly (hopefully) spark some replies, here is a couple pics: I'm hoping I can adequately measure this so I'm confident I can repair this and move on with my project. Thanks, Kirk

I'd get checked on a frame jig or junk it. The subframe is clearly bent and FZ frames are a bit spindly, so there's no telling what else is out of line. A couple of hundred Dollars wouldn't look like a lot of money to make the pain go away if you were in traction after it spat you off ;D
