Hi guys, This project that i have bought has....fzr exup top end (head and barrels) on an early fz750 bottom end. I believe (but could be wrong) this makes it an 888cc.... Anyway, the question is, do i use the 750 exhaust.? I do have the exhaust collars off the exup and the guy who i bought it off was going to cut the 750 collars off and weld on the exup ones (does that make sense..? If not i will take some pics). I read somewhere that these bikes dont like a big diameter pipe, so was wondering if this was why he was going down that route..? Anyhelp or ideas would be great....

I'm not sure if this'll help because I don't know the difference between the FZ and EXUP exhaust collars. But I had a 1000 genesis barrels and pistons on one of my engines (making it a 911cc) and stuck with the FZ750 exhaust which was fine, if I wanted to I could have stuck the 1000 Genny exhaust on but I don't think it would have made much difference. If you've already got the FZ collars/exhaust to fit then I'd probably try to stick with it for the time being unless you have any specific problems.
