Hey all new guy here, Name's Ryan and I figured I'd jump on here finally since I've had my bike for a bit now. I live out here in California and I've got an 85' FZ750 that I'm in the middle of a frame up restoration / FZR1000 swap upgrade. I'll go ahead and post a pic or two here but I'll be making a build thread later so I'll be brief. Here's when I got it back in Japan- and here it is as it sits now-

Hello Ryan, thanks for registering. Your FZ looked pretty good before you started stripping it down so should be lovely when you're done. Good luck with it. I look forward to seeing your progress on here.

Yeah, it was totally stock and in great condition when I bought it. However, it did not make the journey from Japan to the US in one piece. When I picked it up at the port it had fallen over in its crate and been pretty badly damaged from sliding/bouncing around in there. Also fuel had spilled out over most of the right side of the bike and ruined most of the paint on the tank and fairings. Also battery acid spilled out and damaged a lot of the original paint on the right side of the frame as well as melted some rubber off the right foot peg. Sooo yeah thats the only reason I even started the project at all. Otherwise I would've left it alone.

So it was put in a crate and wasn't fastened in properly, and all the fluids (inc battery!) were left in?
I suggest a trip to Japan is in order to give the person responsible a good, stout kick (or seven) in the happy-sacks.

@ Crusty - I thoroughly agree. However, another trip overseas is a bit out of my budget at the moment...
