Hi, I'm new to the forum and the last Yam I owned was a dt175 back in '85 although I haven't been off a bike since 1980.
Anyhow I'm looking for a new project and have set my heart on an FZ750, I would prefer the first model but will consider anything. My budget for a donor bike might rule out a road ready bike and to be honest that's good because if past form is anything to go by I'll end up completely tearing it down and starting again.
If you have something to scratch this itch please contact me.
Thanks Steve.

Hi Steve, the first thing we'll need to know is where are you? Graham had the perfect bike 3 weeks ago in the UK for example. Let us know and I'll keep my eyes open for you. Dave

Cheers guys, Sorry should have said I'm in Northampton, sun trap of the midlands.
I saw that one Graham and have it in my watch list, it's the right money thats for sure at the moment. I'm not scared of a bit of hard work although ideally I'd like my purchase to be running. I'm not a slave to originality so this won't be a concours rebuild but it's always nice to start with a complete bike.
I'm sure one will come up sooner or later.

i know people knock it but i'm convinced ebay is your best bet. where else are you likely to find 5-6 FZ's for sale in the same place ? patience my man, seek & ye shall find ? no try this one, book them & they will come ? ok what about, man sit on river bank long enough, all his enemies float by ? yes that's the one I'm sure.
