Hi all I Thought I would start to look at the 80% of an fz750 i bought.
The first thing is that I am going to need front calipers regardless if I rebuild or use the parts on my Z1000.
Its a 2mg prefix bike with a 17" wheel and discs just under 300mm. Now I have had a look on tinternet and I think any calipers with 100mm spacing would work. BUT I see the fzr1000 as having 320mm discs.
So can anyone say if ,for example, r6 calipers would work?

I've got a spare set of 2MG callipers but they'll need rebuilding.

Here goes, FZR1000 Genesis, early FZR exup and YZF600R6 5EB all use the same mount holes. However use the FZR1000 master cylinder with their calipers either one but use the 5EB master cylinder with R6 callipers. They all fit on the YZF upside down forks too (little mofification on fork leg. So this tells you the YZF750 6 pot calipers also fit genesis, early exup and 5EB R6 forks too.
The brake discs also fit each other but be carefull if using YZF750 discs as the disc centre is slightly larger so the rivets just catch the brake pads when using FZR1000 genesis and early exup calipers...no issue using R6 5EB calipers........
